We have a power-packed group of panelists that will excitingly share their personal stories in radio as it relates to life,branding,entrepreneurship,podcasting,on-air,programming and so much more!
Our guests from all around the country will be able to listen, network and learn from, Angela Yee, Helen Little, Honey German,Thea Mitchem, Katie Neal, Jen From BK, and hosted by Melissa Sweets.

American radio personality best known as a host on the nationally syndicated morning show The Breakfast Club alongside DJ Envy and Charlamagne tha God. Angela’s career in radio began on Eminem’s radio station Shade 45 at Sirius XM Satellite Radio in 2005 as the co-host on The Cipha Sounds Effect. Eventually, Yee started her own weekly nighttime show Lip Service, and took over the morning show duties, rebranding it as The Morning After with Angela Yee. Angela has also worked as a correspondent for MTV2’s Sucker Free and was a featured cast member on the VH1 reality show The Gossip Game. In addition to her ventures in radio and TV, Yee has also worked at Wu-Tang Management, managed GZA as a solo artist, and Jay Electronica. Recently, Angela has expanded from entertainment and opened her own juice bar, Juices for Life BK, and started a monthly book club with Atria Books.
Helen Little is a media personality, writer, speaker, coach and lover of life with a professional journey that has spanned over thirty years. Helen, who splits her time between New York City and the Philadelphia suburbs,launched her career at a radio station in Chapel Hill, North Carolina while a student at The University of North Carolina. She started with no experience on the weekend overnight shift at a small AM station. Now she fills offices, homes, and cars across the northeast as the midday personality for New York’s 106.7 Lite FM and is the most listened-to non-syndicated personality in radio, reaching more people than anyone in any daypart, in any format in the country! Helen can also be heard on the iHeartRadio digital network that serves millions of subscribers and is home to The Public Library Podcast: A Place to Check Out Books for which she is the creator,host, editor, and producer. Helen Little has served as both a media talent and executive. She has held national corporate positions in both radio and records for AM/FM (now iHeartMedia) and Warner Brothers Music.
Honey German the daughter of Dominican parents was born and raised in New York City and currently works for iHeart Media / Power 105.1FM in the positions of On Air Personality, Music Coordinator and Digital Content Manager. Her distinct voice, social media popularity, connection to the streets and extensive knowledge of celebrity news and trending topics have made Honey a household name and a favorite amongst millennials and others alike.In addition, she also works with iHeart Media’s National Division creating editorial and content pieces in both English and Spanish and as a Social Media Influencer/Media Personality covering iHeart major events such as the iHeart Awards, iHeart Festival, iHeart Fiesta Latina, Jingle Ball, Powerhouse and KTUPhoria.Honey also makes sure to dedicate time to mentoring girls via Power 105.1’s internship program and motivational talks on self esteem, the importance of education and pursuing your dreams. Honey is also a strong advocate for Body Positivity and Women’s Rights.
Katie Neal is the midday host at New York’s Country Station, NASH FM 94.7. You can hear her weekdays 10-3 and Saturday mornings. Katie was raised in the heart of the Midwest but decided to chase her love for radio to the Big Apple. If you ask her how life’s going these days, she’ll tell you it’s a lot like a sitcom -- small town girl navigates life in the big city while hosting a radio show, plus cameo appearances by the biggest names in country music. Katie graduated from Illinois State University and studied Global Communication in the United Kingdom at the University of Leicester. She’s been a member of NYC’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program for the last five years, was recently named NYCountry Swag’s Woman of the Month and is so proud to work along side so many amazing Women in Radio!
Thea Mitchem is a forward thinking music veteran who has been recognized for her ability to turn creative ideas into entertaining and informative radio programming. Her passion for music has led to a successful 20+ year career pioneering change and breaking down barriers in the media industry. She is an inspirational leader who is committed to coaching, developing and motivating her team of personalities, programmers, producers and brand marketers. Regarded as one of the “most influential women in the radio industry,” Mitchem’s aptitude for effective decision making, cultivating talent and brand curation has earned her a respected seat at the table. Currently, as Executive Vice President of Programming for the Northeast Division for iHeartMedia, the leading media company in America with a greater reach in the U.S. than any other radio or television outlet, Mitchem oversees the programming and operations of over sixty stations including New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore and most recently Chicago. She has achieved No. 1 ratings success in several major markets including New York, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. Additionally, Mitchem serves as the Program Director for WWPR Power 105.1, New York’s Hip Hop and R&B, home of the nationally syndicated morning show “The Breakfast Club,” with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God. Jennifer Le, known as "JenFromBK" is a media personality, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She has a radio show called “JEN And The City” Sundays on HOT 97 and is also a digital manager for the station. She was honored with two citations by Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams for her work in media, the community and as an Asian American. JEN is also the Founder & CEO of Next Jeneration, a tv/film production company. Her mini doc “Who is JENBKLYN” recently won for Best Film Production at the 2018 Girls Impact The World Film Festival and placed Top 20 overall.
